I've been thinking about adding Campsis radicans (also known as trumpet vine) to my indoor plant collection, but I have a few concerns and would love some advice from anyone who's successfully grown it indoors.
Light Requirements: I’ve read that they thrive in full sun outdoors, but how do they adapt to indoor light conditions? Would a south-facing window be sufficient, or should I consider supplemental lighting?
Growth Control: Given their vigorous growth outdoors, do these plants become unmanageable indoors? How often do you find yourself pruning to keep it in check?
Potting Needs: What type of soil mix works best to keep it healthy indoors? And how often do you re-pot to accommodate growth?
Pests and Diseases: Are there specific indoor pests or diseases that commonly affect trumpet vines? What preventative measures or treatments do you recommend?
Winter Care: Since they’re typically hardy outdoors, how do they fare through indoor winter conditions?
Thanks in advance for your insights! Looking forward to hearing your experiences.
