I've recently come across a plant called Phytolacca dioica, also known as the ombú tree, which is native to South America. I'm intrigued by its appearance and resilience, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience growing it indoors or in a controlled environment. I've read that it has a unique, bulbous trunk and can store water, making it somewhat drought-resistant. How feasible is it to grow such a large plant indoors, and what challenges might I face? Growing an ombú tree indoors can be quite challenging due to its size and natural growth habits. While it's drought-resistant, it thrives outdoors in full sun with plenty of space.
