Repotted three big ficus today on my kitchen counter using a couple of those large absorbent pads (the ones for housebreaking pups - super cheap at pet stores). All the soil, roots, and spill water got soaked up instantly, no flying dirt, no sticky floors, and cleanup was just crumpling them up and trash. They even have that waterproof backing so nothing leaked through!
Why didn’t I think of this sooner? It’s genius for apartments or anyone hating post-repot chaos. Rolled up my plants right on it too without damaging roots.
